There’s just something enchanting about distinguished indie pop from across the pond. Alden Penner is best known for fronting legendary lo-fi band The Unicorns; now though he’s touring a solo EP with help from indie film legend Michael Cera.

The Canadian pair will stop by Bristol’s Exchange this June in support of the ‘Canada In Space’ EP, which follows abruptly later in the month. Cera will also play some of his own material on the tour which will no doubt feature a few favourites from his bedroom pop album ‘True That’. Hearing euphoric ditties such as ‘Breathe To Burn’ really do spark a bit of enthusiasm ahead of this event.

It’s perhaps the kind of show that comes once in a blue moon, if ever again, so lend your ears to a few of the singles and join in. If anything, this is a peachy fixture as we plunge into the joyous depths of festival season.
