19th November | Crofters Rights

Having already hosted an impressive roster of up and coming artists, including Brighton’s Inwards, and most recently New Zealand’s Earth Tongue, Hotwax Promotions very much have their finger on the pulse and their next outing proves no different. Boasting an enticingly eclectic line-up, the show at the Crofters Rights on Monday will see IGLOOGHOST collaborator, BaBii bringing her glistening electronic soundscapes, joined by rapidly-rising Bristol favourite performance artist and musician, Lynks Afrikka, as well as Otto Hashimi’s unique blend of dusky, infectious hip-hop grooves, and some wonky bedroom-pop, courtesy of newcomers robbo + kiki.

There’s a certain intrigue surrounding headliner BaBii; as her promo video for a recent string of tour dates, and her merch, puts it “Who the hell is BaBii?” and it’s a very valid question given one of the few glimpses of her sound so far has been on IGLOOGHOST’s recent Radio 1 mix. However, the mounting curiosity is very much warranted; if you want to find out for yourself, and catch a whole host of fresh and exciting performances, then you’d better get a ticket for Monday’s show whilst you still can.

You can keep wondering who BaBii is for a short while longer, but in the meantime, you can see the video to Lynks Afrikka’s ‘Don’t Take It Personal’ here:
