If you’ve been to a gig at the Exchange recently, you might’ve noticed something a little different. Gone is the bar on the left-hand side and instead sits a brand new coffee shop, complete with a brand new bar, seating area and some of the best coffee Old Market has to offer.
Here, Exchange Coffee Co. founders Harry and Caitlin tell us about their plans for the future and what the coffee company can offer the music fans of Bristol.
“Exchange Coffee Co. is an offshoot of The Exchange, a live music venue located in up & coming Old Market. Having first opened it’s doors in 2012, The Exchange is now seen as somewhat of an institution in Bristol.
“The brainchild of owners Pete, Paul & Matt – Exchange Coffee Co. aims to provide a communal music centric space with its laneways style cafe/bar with a more intimate low key area for regular gigs, free use of studio/rehearsal space for anything from book clubs to band practice and of course, great coffee.
“The next few months will see the fitting of a kitchen to provide convenient but hearty grub during the days, additional shows in the cafe area and record & zine fares.”
