The Bristol piano art trail is set to return to the city this summer but founder, artist Luke Jerram wants to take the project to wider districts of Bristol.

To do this, he’s launched a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of raising £10,000 to expand the piano trail into other areas of the city.

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the project, which places pianos across Bristol for the public to play and enjoy. Each piano is decorated by Jerram and the project has seen more than 1,700 pianos placed in more than 50 cities across the globe reaching more than 10 million people.

If £20,000 is raised through the Kickstarter, the Arts Council England (ACE) has promised to match it, with a full £40,000 needed to be reached for this funding to be released.
