After Thursday’s devastating fire at the vital community hub and radio station in Easton, the station’s residents have set up a Crowdfunder and are organising a fundraiser to help BCfm get back on its feet.
The fire broke out on Thursday morning during a live broadcast but thankfully no one was injured. However, the station and most of the equipment has been destroyed and as a community station run by volunteers, BCfm very much needs help with the costs of rebuilding the station and getting new equipment.
As the first community radio station in Bristol, BCfm has been broadcasting for 12 years and has always provided an important platform and voice for individuals and communities within Bristol. You can read more and support them on the Crowdfunder here.
Audiophiles, a weekly show on BCfm, are also organising a fundraiser and looking for any bands who might be keen to help out. Head to their page to find out more.
