London four-piece The Death of Pop are back in Bristol, bringing their slick, 80’s-inspired new album Fed Up to The Crofters Rights on Wednesday 2nd August.
It’s been about two years since the band came to Bristol, and thanks to promoter Gravy Train, we will once again be able to experience the band’s dreamy melodies and hypnotic choruses close up.
Fed Up continues the band’s penchant for shimmering, new wave influenced guitar pop, with just a hint of shoegaze. It’s easy to glean the influence of bands like XTC, Chapterhouse and Television in their sound, but its the way that they spin these influences together that makes The Death of Pop a special act.
