It’s festival announcement season, where you start pencilling in dates on your calendar, if you still indulge in paper and kitchen-wall-hanging. Maybe your thumbs are getting busier and you’re foregoing Insta, filling that phone organiser with prospective future good noise. Just in case you missed it, make sure that Dot To Dot Festival qualifies for consideration for what to do when the days are longer.

Based in the city’s finest venues, it’s a little exercise in point-to-point walking, like going between stages on a festival site, but with the guarantee of non-muddy ground under your feet. Bristol’s iteration of this event, which runs in Manchester the day before and Nottingham the day after, takes place on Saturday May 23rd.

The first announcement of bands is headed by the much-lauded Easy Life, with Steam Down giving them a run for their money, both on the festival billing front and in the ‘buzz bands’ Top Trumps pack. Add in Skinny Living, Alexandra Savior, Chartreuse, Drug Store Romeos, Gracey, Taylor Janzen, Pist Idiots, Aaron Smith and Spacey Jane and you may be writing it on that wall planner in permanent marker and getting your bank card out.
