25th May | Various Venues, city-wide
Dot To Dot Festival is back again for another year, bringing the best up-and-coming bands and artists to Bristol for a day of fantastic new music, with many of the city’s best music venues taking part. The festival has cemented itself as one of the country’s leading metropolitan festivals and having enjoyed it every year since 2013, Dot To Dot never disappoints. This year’s line-up is as eclectic as ever, and is sure to be a hit with live music fans.
2019’s festival will once again play host to both local and international talent. London-based punk-pop trio, Dream Wife and Halifax’s indie-pop four-piece The Orielles will both be performing following the huge success of their debut albums last year. Neither band looks to be slowing down after their 2018 breakout, and both have become firm live favourites on the gig circuit.
Birmingham band Swim Deep will also be playing ahead of the release of their much-anticipated third album, so expect to hear old favourites from Where the Heaven Are We and Mothers as well as brand new tracks. Jordan Rakei will be bringing his unique fusion of jazz, soul and R&B to the festival and indie synth-pop five piece, Crystal Fighters will be headlining, hot on the heels of their third album Gaia & Friends, released back in March.
There will also be a focus on Bristol-based music too, with Bristol In Stereo curating a stage at The Louisiana, featuring a wealth of the city’s talented acts.
2019 is looking to be another fantastic year for Dot To Dot, with music to suit all tastes. If you’re looking to discover your new favourite act, or a summer jam this festival is the place to be!
