There’s a fearlessness that can arrive, hand-in-hand with youth. Enter Red, four young gentlemen from Bath possess both enviable qualities. Add in the additional and useful factor of substantial talent, and it’s all rather an appealing prospect. If your previous associations with Bath have involved rugby, Georgian throwbacks in replica frocks or nose-to-tail hen dos, then let Enter Red be your new yardstick.

They played The Loco Klub in February to launch their new band name and they’ve already been busy in lockdown, putting out an Isolation Session version of their track ‘Atonic Diatonic’ on March 31st. You can hear their math-rock influences, but also their expansive, full, triumphant sound that frequently starts small and just grows. Liam Sailes gave us an update on where they’re at and answered the all-important ‘In Short’ questions too:

“We’ve been writing loads over Logic to clicks (also with the help of a new-found friend..), developing our sound and finding a direction to progress. I’ve also played a disgusting amount of video games, so not too productive. Our plan before the lockdown was to release our debut EP, however now this unfortunately has been postponed to a later date. We also had a busy schedule of festivals ahead which again have all been cancelled or postponed. At the end of this year we still have plans to move up to Manchester to fully launch ourselves there.”
