Bristol’s Make Friends have been making quite the first impressions with their debut singles ‘Drop Naked’ and ‘Ellie’, gathering praise and radio play from the likes of BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 Music, and Amazing Radio, amongst others. Today they share their new video for ‘Ellie’ ahead of releasing their debut EP later this month.

A glistening slice of indie-pop perfect for the sunny weather we’re currently enjoying, ‘Ellie’ showcases the band’s aptitude for crafting infectious hooks and smooth, atmospheric melodies. Speaking about the accompanying video, lead singer Tom Andrews says, “We had such a good few days shooting the Ellie video over in Wales with our pals at trigger happy! The video shows a relationship that has been broken down through lack of communication, symbolised by ‘Jason’ (the mannequin). Hope everyone enjoys!”.

Make Friends play The Mother’s Ruin for their EP release show on 25th July, tickets here. In the meantime, enjoy their new track and video below.
