Brace yourself. A new music zine is crawling its way onto the streets of Bristol, dragging with it dispatches from some of the most exciting underground music the city has to offer.

The Bristol Germ comes from the brain of Alastair Shuttleworth, frontman of LICE, and creator a brilliant video-archive of the Bristol music scene, filming and interviewing some of the city’s most exciting acts from the last few years.

According to Alastair, the magazine is an “an illustrated music magazine, documenting a historic new episode in underground and avant-garde music taking place in Bristol, England.”

The first issue will launch on 25th November, both online and as a run of 400 A4 prints of the magazine. There will also be an official launch show at a ‘secret location’, featuring performances from The NaturalsSCALPING and other secret guests.

Inside issue one is interviews from a wide variety of Bristol artists, including Young EchoIDLESOliver Wilde and Giant Swan, and artwork from local artists.
