In the most unlikely manifestation of Swedish culture ever, from the small, remote and highly mysterious village of Korpilomoba, Goat stormed into popularity under the guise of bizarre voodoo ritualists with a penchant for Asiatic dress, animal skulls and ancient scripture.
Their 2012 album ‘World Music’ was subsequently met with critical acclaim for its varied, experimental leanings and impressive mainstream assimilation of instruments lesser used from the far flung corners of the Earth. Their ‘Live Ballroom Ritual’ show, recorded in London and released in the later half of 2013 too was met with positive reviews, capturing the wild spirit of the band’s boundless psychedelic trance.
With a very much anticipated sophomore LP on the horizon, Goat embark upon a full UK tour this October, with a date at Bristol’s Trinity (2nd). Expected to sell out, this is not a show to put on the back burner. Pick up your tickets soon to avoid disappointment later.
