Having hosted many many great shows over the years, both as Hy-Brasil Music Club and formerly as Start the Bus, the venue has announced today that they’ll be closing at the end of September.
At a time when music venues are constantly under threat of closure, it’s truly sad to see yet another Bristol one go, only to be replaced with an O’Neils. As a vibrant part of Bristol’s live music scene, the venue has offered a platform for so many emerging artists, both locally and from further afield, and will be sorely missed. The venue space has seen the likes of The Orielles, Scalping, Mac Demarco, Metronomy, Wych Elm and more grace the stage.
You can see all the artists and promoters who’ve brought such a wealth of exciting shows to Hy-Brasil/Start the Bus below. Hy-Brasil will have their final party on 28th September with Thumper, No Violet, INDIGOS and BLACK FLIES. More info on the event here.
