Birmingham boys and summer vibe enthusiasts Jaws are finally gracing Bristol with their intensely chilled out, hook-laden surf-pop.
Every release so far has been nothing short of brilliance, singer Connor Schofield’s lazy vocals combined with dreamy synths and hazy guitars are the sonic equivalent of sunny road trips to the beach. The NME aptly described last year’s b-side ‘Donut’ as “the internal monologue of a sunbathing cat”.
Bristolian fans have yet to be blessed with a show (the last time they played within a reasonable distance the venue caught fire and the show was cancelled) so it’s going to be an excitable crowd no doubt. Catch them at the Exchange on the 16th, a day after the release of their eagerly-awaited debut ‘Be Slowly’.
