6th December | Hours Space
Presenting the launch of her double-A-sided release of ‘The Hours’ and ‘Hermit’ in the heart of Stokes Croft at Hours Space, our December magazine cover interviewee, Kate Stapley gave us a reminder of why we enjoyed previous EP, Centella so damn much, as well as giving us so much to look forward to in her forthcoming album, due to make friends with our ears in 2020.
In her interview with Guy Marcham for the current magazine, Kate states, “I think on the record that I’m making now, there’s a bit more of a balance compared to my last, which was a bit softer. The instrumentation was quite light and escapist, but this record bounces between light and dark more.” Her set on Friday night was a splendid blend of the old and the new. The one aspect that remained wondrously the same as ever was the levels of glorious Kate Stapley-ness.
