Klaxons | Preview

Whilst their pitch-perfect debut album promised arenas, The Klaxons second promised pubs. Robbed by their record label and forced to re-write a follow up, it wasn’t exactly what they wanted. It damaged their career.

Luckily for us, the third album throws off the shackles of giving a shit and opens its arms to a world of sweet disco. ‘There Is No Other Time’ wouldn’t look out of place on a clubland album, but that’s what makes it all that more infectious and alluring. It’s music that dares you not to smile. You could argue that we wouldn’t be so lucky to have them at Thekla if it wasn’t for the second album blunder. Whatever the weather, it’s going to be one to remember.

Upon the night of Halloween, the four Londoners will bring both the heavy grittiness of years gone by alongside this new sound. Be there, or beware, Halloween pun.
