Whatever saves your day – tea, napping, Cake Boss on TLC – Love Saves The Day offers a weekend of joyful solace on May 23rd and 24th. Their last hurrah in Eastville Park has been well known for a while now, so it’s most apt how much of a hurrah they’re giving it. Orbital and Kano lead the way as headliners, backed up by the likes of Goldie, Fisher, Skream, Little Simz, Shy FX, Peggy Gou, My Nu Leng, Helena Hauff, Andy C and Roni Size.
Orbital impressed at The Downs Festival in 2018 with their back catalogue full of laser-guided ambience, and impressive new material from Monsters Exist. Kano will see Love Saves The Day out of Eastville Park for the final time on Sunday night. A pioneer of the British grime scene, and star of TV’s Top Boy, Kano needs little hyping up. By the time he’s warmed Bristol up with his February show on his current tour, there’ll be plenty of people counting the days until May.
“It’s no secret that this will be our last year in Eastville – that cat is well and truly out of the bag!” said Tom Paine, co-founder of Love Saves The Day. “We’ll be making a big announcement about the future of Love Saves very soon but in the meantime, we’re busy producing a festival Bristol will never forget.”
