Indie rockers, Peace bring their upbeat messages of choosing love to SWX this weekend to breathe a new lease of life into your Sunday funday. With the release of Kindness is the New Rock and Roll this month, there’s no better soundtrack to round off your weekend than the dreamy surf-like tracks that are stacking up in the band’s back catalogue.
Bringing the positively summery sounds with them with new singles, ‘You Don’t Walk Away From Love’ and ‘From Under Liquid Glass,’ it’s no surprise that the band have lined up top spots at numerous festivals over the coming months. As a warm-up to the festival season, no doubt fans can expect to hear favourites from previous albums Happy People and In Love, including ‘Lovesick,’ ‘Bloodshake’ and ‘Money.’ An expert blending of intricate riffs, melodies and Harry Koisser’s unique vocals, it makes for a delicious summer cocktail, not to be missed.
Indie Irish trio, whenyoung will be providing support and having been invited to play at the Pogues’ Shane McGowan’s 60th birthday party, the young band are already held in high esteem. Ambitious and bringing rousing choruses to the table, they should complement the headliners perfectly.
