Start saving your money now, Record Store Day have revealed their full list of releases for this year’s special day.
Among the usual torrent of re-releases (Faulty Towers 12″ anyone?), there are a few gems hidden in the list.
For those who want to celebrate the lives of many of the artists that died last year, you’ll be able to get your hands on to unreleased David Bowie tracks, including a reissue of the 1971 Bowpromo white label album and live recordings taken from a show in 1974. There will be a number of Prince records repressed as well, including limited numbers of ‘Little Red Corvette’ and ‘1999’, and a load of Motorhead records.
If you want something a bit fresher, there’s still some incredible one-off releases. You could indulge in a new Laura Marling live album, the first vinyl pressing of Wiley’s latest album Godfather or a 10″ Danny Brown single.
There’s also releases from The Cribs, The Smiths, Andre 3000, Animal Collective, Kate Nash and, obviously, loads more. Head to the Record Store Day website for a full list of releases.
This year’s event is taking place on 22nd April. Local shops Rise Records and Friendly Records will be stocking as many of this year’s releases they can get inside their walls.
Remember though, record shops open every day, not just Record Store Day.
