Bridges – ‘Paws’ | EP Review

Bridges: Paws EP
Released: 31st August

A debut EP can sometimes be a chore, often a challenge, and always a huge stepping stone, but Bridges make light work of such a daunting task.

Taking a headfirst dive into the twee end of indie, rarely surpassed since The Kooks’ first album (they did a second?!), Bridges break up what could be monotony with various flavours of guitar intricacy, occasionally encroaching upon mathier regions.

There’s some stunning harmonies, and with the main vocal bordering on Paul Smith intensity, this band is full to the brim with potential.

Check them out live on 25th of August, at The Thunderbolt.
