Peter & The Harmonics – ‘Make Up Your Mind’ | Single Review

Released: 1st October

Back with a vengeance  this beautifully haunting new four track shows exactly how some Bristol acts can effortlessly outstrip current genre trend setters (looking at you Mumford). At the heart of it, they are a folk band, but it’s easy to forget considering the tapestry of refined sounds they draw upon.

Neil Young honesty makes way for forlorn David Gray inspired elegance with a firm basis in traditional song writing. ‘Hide Away’ in particular sees some breathtaking harmonies (showcased through all four tracks) create a huge sound, carefully balanced with more subtle instrumentation. In an era of music so devoid of genuine talent, this EP is a breath of fresh air.
