Richard Hawley has very much become renowned for his effortless beauty as a musician. Speaking about his new album ‘Hollow Meadows’ he said, “ it’s an internal record… it’s about other lost places. It’s about reconnecting with a part of yourself you’d forgotten about.”
This seems rather fitting considering a series of health and personal problems that have ensued in recent years. Turning inwards can often achieve the best results when it comes to making a record, and the response to his seventh studio album seems to have thoroughly backed that sentiment up. Hawley will bring his distinct form of warming country rock to Colston Hall this November, a show which will no doubt welcome the bitter edge of autumn rather well.
