Bristol’s Saffron Records, an all-female music label which works to empower young women and to create role models for the next generation, is celebrating its second birthday in September, getting Bristol music site Tap the Feed to help out with the festivities.

On 14th September, Saffron and Tap the Feed will be taking over Mr Wolfs, putting on a night to celebrate the fantastic work that the label has been doing. Brighton four-piece Kudu Blue are headlining the evening, with the label’s very own China Bowls supporting.

For the last two years, the team at Saffron has been developing and nurturing female talent within all areas of the Bristol music scene. It has put on Mix Nights DJ courses, helping to develop the skills of six female DJs, plus has run Saffron For Sound music production and sound engineering courses. Saffron has also opened a working community for creative professionals in Bristol, called Saffron Space, whilst also developing young artists.

After the bands, some of Saffron’s Mix Night DJs will be helping to fill the dance floor, plus there’s a promise of lots of cake.

Tickets are only £6 and can be found here.
