The nights are closing in, the weather is getting increasingly miserable and let’s face it, we are still lamenting the fact it’s decidedly not summer anymore. We’re all for throwing ourselves into the weekend to make up for the chilly mornings and gloomy evenings, and what better to brighten the mood than a really nice day in Bristol dancing around at Simple Things!
For the 2018 edition – brought to you by Crack Magazine, Team Love and No Need To Shout – Simple Things has had a format makeover. For the first time the multi-venue Bristol festival has split into two separate ticketed events. Colston Hall, O2 Academy, Rough Trade, SWX and The Sportsman play host to the daytime programme, and then it’s over to Lakota & Coroners Court after dark. We are grateful to city festivals which do not require us to wear wellies, and we are grateful to Simple Things for giving us another fun thing on our festi calendar.
Last year’s party saw standout performances from the likes of Nadine Shah, GAIKA, IDLES and Shanti Celeste, and this year’s programme is just as eclectic, and will no doubt be just as much fun.
