20th July | Rough Trade
Wax Music and So Young are teaming up to host a day of excellent new music, bringing an exciting and eclectic mix of artists from across the country to Rough Trade on Saturday 20th July. Following on from the recent successes of Dot To Dot Festival and Love Saves The Day, the So Young Bristol All Dayer will surely continue the fantastic run of summer music events that Bristol is well known for, and what better place to immerse yourself in new live music than at Rough Trade?
The day promises to showcase the best of new music from all over the UK, with a mix of musical styles meaning there will surely be something to appeal to everyone. Formerly of Ardyn fame, Bristol-based singer-songwriter Katy J Pearson will be bringing her magic melodies with distinctive vocals and powerful lyrics to mesmerise the crowd. London’s Italia 90 and Slaves protégés Lady Bird will both be performing their raucous and crowd pleasing post-punk, while the constantly evolving Holiday Ghosts are sure to go down well with their own take on 60s rock and roll.
London-based duo, The Rhythm Method will be headlining the event with their unique and immensely enjoyable brand of indie-pop, which tackles issues such as gentrification and austerity with self-deprecating humour.
With this line-up, the So Young Bristol All Dayer is looking to be another great addition to the already stellar programme of gigs and festivals the city has been treated to so far this summer.
