Forging a unique path with his freestyle funk sound, Tom Misch has never been one to follow the crowd. Starting out releasing three tracks a week via Soundcloud when he was just sixteen, he built a steady fan base the organic way. It was when he uploaded the enchanting ‘Follow’ (with vocals from his sister Laura) to YouTube that things took a turn and he gained 100,000 plays.

Since then he’s been selling out tours from Europe to the US and has worked with the likes of Loyle Carner, Zak Abel and even legendary rap group De Le Soul. His bedroom beats have amassed seventy-five million streams across all platforms. So a headline show on the Bristol Harbourside is well deserved for the London-born multi-instrumentalist.

His debut album Geography was released last year to a quiet slew of critical acclaim, but made bigger waves across his live shows with his signature blend of jazz, disco and hip-hop. While the possibility of a second album isn’t currently clear, what is certain is that this appearance will bring the live debut of his sparkling new single ‘Money’, featuring Michael Kiwanuka. We can hope for some new tracks amongst old favourites like the Goldlink collaboration ‘Lost in Paris’ and raw disco cut ‘Beautiful Escape’ from his EP Beat Tape 2. It’s not one to be missed, so get yourself down to Lloyd’s Amphitheatre on Wednesday and dance.
