5th October | Exchange

Serial bedroom funkerz, Tungz have been gaining loads of traction online recently, with several shout-outs on BBC Music Introducing, Radio X and a live session on Reprezent Radio under their belt – and that’s just within the past few months. When they’re not busy supporting acts such as Franc Moody, Patawawa and the late Her’s, they can be found admiring Bristol’s lesser known bridges. Forget about the Suspension Bridge, Tungz are here to highlight what other great bridges the city have to offer via synth-fuelled disco tracks.

If you’ve ever seen them live, you’ll know that their shows are nothing shy of glittering grooves, a pinch of camaraderie and infectious hooks, that will stay with you long after the night is over. In celebration of their debut EP, due for release on October 1st, Tungz will be hosting a glam get-together at Exchange. Looking fresh from a L’Oreal Hair ad campaign for luscious locks, Joe Probert will be the support for the night’s festivities. Expect hip beats, funky basslines and soothing vocal runs from Joe and his band.

Crack open your creaky drawers and dust off your chequered flares for an energetic night of hip-hopping grooves. Sensible footwear is also recommended, as you’ll be two-stepping the night away.
