The mere mention of Turin Brakes sends music lovers of a certain age into paroxysms of nostalgia. Tracks like ‘Summer Rain’, ‘Mind Over Money’ and ‘Underdog’ frequently turn up on noughties best of compilations. But there’s no need to reminisce. The boys, who were one of the finest indie bands of the last decade, have never gone away. In fact, last year they released another highly acclaimed album ‘We Were Here’ through Cooking Vinyl.

The Balham duo, Gale Paridjanian and Olly Knights, plus longtime band members Rob Allum and Eddy Myer, have already sold a million records and are set to return to Bristol’s Fleece this Halloween with their bag of space folk tunes.
