22nd February | Old England

Following a sweaty summer of festivals and touring with the likes of Wolf Alice and Sunflower Bean, this self-proclaimed ‘British Rock Quartet’ will be causing a ruckus at the Old England as part of their debut headline tour this February. You can look forward to hearing their four-track EP released back in 2018, as well as latest singles, including ‘Feel It’ and ‘On The Radio’. For those of you who have yet to experience their sound, Vinyl Staircase is a pretty apt description of the clambering psychedelic guitar that wends its way through their music – though it doesn’t quite capture the tongue-in-cheek mannerisms and infectious melodies of the as-yet-unsigned group.

Theirs is an eclectic mix of deep, cumbersome bass, revving guitar and ebullient lyrics that don’t so much nod as they do wave vigorously towards the golden age of alternative rock, but they’re still inescapably fresh and relevant. ‘Feel It’ features thrashing guitar, dissonant melodies and rumbling bass – combining psychedelic rock and indie spectacularly, while older classic ‘German Wings’ offers a visceral amalgamation of rock sub-genres – with math landscaping and surf serenity.

With support from The Shuks and Lazarus Kane – and entrance but a mere tuppence – you’ll get your money’s worth and then some.
