With a self-titled sophomore LP just on the horizon, Warpaint return to Bristol’s O2 Academy in February to support their latest effort.
Their debut EP, ‘Exquisite Corpse’, mixed by ex-Red Hot Chillis guitarist John Frusciante was received to critical acclaim, as was their 2010 LP, ‘The Fool’.
Striking the balance just right between sprawling psychedelia, driven post-punk cadences, gentle harmonies and lingering vocals, Warpaint are able to cater for audiences of indie teenyboppers to the trippiest flailers and everyone in between.
With a self-proclaimed emphasis on the live setting, jam sessions and free-form improvisation as inspiration for their studio recordings, it is quite possible their live show can promise something special – not to be missed.
