Today, Some Bodies release their live video for ‘My Name’. Though it’s been confirmed in the last couple of days that anyone malingering in such a place as a beach will be moved along swiftly by the fuzz (so to speak), the fine gentlemen of Bristolian sun-blessed psych have recreated a beach of their own. The scene is replete with highly responsible sunscreen (the name of the 2019 album from whence the song comes) and highly flammable gasolene, suitably symbolic of how their music can both soothe and sear.
Singer, Tom Nosek says of the video, “Our drum machine, Roland was a large part of the writing process and we wanted to play some tracks with him again for old times’ sake. We set up our gear and some microphones on a sunny beach in Surrey and got cracking. It was thirsty work. This track, ‘My Name’ is the first of of a few songs captured on that fine day.”
It’s part of a forthcoming live EP set for release this summer on Nothing Fancy. Further evidence that 2020 isn’t all rubbish.
