It’s always great to be reminded that we live in a city that champions equality and experimentation. Canadian cover stars Braids are a band unafraid to experiment, with the vulnerability in their releases making them one of the most exciting and honest groups in recent years. Christian talks to them about their latest EP ahead of this month’s Start The Bus appearance.

We also chat to honorary Bristolian Klein, who has created a world you’ll definitely want to be a part of, while the brilliant Saffron Records explain why it’s so important to give women a platform in an industry that often shuns them. Elsewhere, Will talks to Parquet Courts about how approaching art blindly can often lead to the best results and Bristol’s Art is Hard Records hand-select their favourite upcoming shows you’ll no doubt want to check out. Forget Glasto, Bristol’s where it’s at this month.
