These golden days.

In a year that has been a straight-up dumpster fire since the death of David Bowie, we’ve also been graced with some pretty incredible debuts. One such record came from Chicago’s Whitney, whose Light Upon the Lake proved itself as a flicker of hope through soulful tendencies and vulnerable lyricism. Frontman Julien Ehrlich chats about his changing relationships and Whitney-mania.

Elsewhere, the pioneering Peaches talks to THORNY’s Jo Bligh about the importance of the queer community and Kezia Cochrane catches up with Bristol’s own Fenne Lily ahead of her string of church dates. Keeping things local, the formerly-featured Yama Warashi releases her long-awaited new album and Submerge Festival founder Mike Pony picks out some acts we can look forward to seeing later this month.
