A staple in the plethora of bands charging a psych-pop revival, Gengahr catapult themselves to the forefront. Defined by lead singer Felix Bushe’s euphonious soprano, Gengahr bridges the gap between being vitally real and fantastically detached as they deliver dreamy harmonies and jovial sonics.
Having toured along side Alt-J and Wolf Alice, Gengahr inevitably gained notice with their original yet mature dreamy, pop sound. Being likened to nu-psychedelic heavy weights Tame Impala and Unknown Motion Orchestra, they’ve most certainly cemented themselves into our outward-thinking selection.
Following the release of ‘A Dream Outside’ on Transgressive Records, this rather vivid lot play the Exchange on 7th October; a night certain to be filled with a dynamic duality that falls between dream-like aesthetics and catchy pop choruses. Just sit back and let the quite beautifully-constructed psych waves wash over you.
