January 16th | Crofters Rights
“There’s a fence between us,” sang Lyron of Les Flair. Not at The Crofters Rights, there wasn’t. Any Crofters regular well knows that you’re up close and personal with the performers. The London-based duo take a medium, gauzy electro-pop, that is not always the easiest to enhance with overt trappings of performance, and sell it to their audiences with a genuine sense of energy and charm. Keyboardist, Kai, was sporting a giant Adam and the Ants black stripe across his nose for good measure. ‘Stand and deliver’ could so easily have been their motto, as they stole hearts.
