From the first delicate, sauntering intonations, ‘Drowning’ is at once captivatingly atmospheric and imbued with a tangible, tender warmth. The new single from Bristol-based artist The Sounds of Ursa, the creative alias of Helen Stanley, we’ve got the pleasure of premiering the track and video today.
Accompanied by visuals of befittingly wistful shorelines and coastal landscapes, ‘Drowning’ is taken from The Sounds of Ursa’s new EP Patience Panacea. Crafting a cinematic blend of lilting piano melodies, warbling sonic oscillations, and dreamy, dulcet vocals, The Sounds of Ursa offers gently enveloping swathes of sound to get lost in.
They head out on tour this Autumn/Winter, full dates below:
26th October – Barton Inn, Somerton
31st October – Café Kino, Bristol
23rd November – Greennote, London
