Bristol based music fans will be well-aware of the magic of Something Anorak. Made up of Chris and James Barrett, Chris has unveiled a new solo project under the moniker Pictures of Belgrade and we’re lucky enough to host the first look at his second single ‘Airs and Your Graces’.

It’s taken from his forthcoming new album – out later this year – and introduces a poignant artist that has a knack for showcasing love and loss through simple chord structures and devastating lyricism. “But you lie, over and over,” he sings, “Keep me up just long enough, to convince them your airs and graces do just fine.”

Pictures of Belgrade will be playing a few shows with a full band over the next month. You can see the dates below.

  • 21st January – The Lantern, Bristol w/ Hurray For The Riff Raff
  • 23rd January – Crofters Rights, Bristol w/ Holiday Ghost
  • 20th February – TBA, Brighton w/ Penelope Isles
  • 21st February – The Montague Arms, London w/ Penelope Isles
