Pylo ‘The Woman EP’ | Review

Pylo‘s second four-track fully embraces a clean production, leaving us all dewy eyed and full of hope.

The Bathonians have left themselves with a tricky bar to raise following last year’s ‘Bellavue’, but the heartfelt note of opener ‘Simple Souls’ patiently states they’ve had no trouble in doing so. Introducing an orchestral element, the track niftily shifts from melancholy to teary joy. A bright demeanour is continued with a first-rate bit of ‘Screamadelica’ gospel during the aptly titled ‘Climbing Through The Sun’.

As the radar bands of 2014 come to light, don’t be surprised if you hear much more of this release over the coming months.
