If you somehow criminally missed listening to Birdman Cult’s Proper Mint Narrowboat Lockdown, then you’ll have missed out on a blaster from The Pleasure Dome, a most suitable choice to end the hour-long podcast on a high, with the track ‘Insane’. It’s a title that ties in well with listening to The Pleasure Dome: the challenge is to listen without enjoyably losing your shit in some way, shape or form.

Bobby Spender gave us this check-in from lockdown: “I’ve found the lockdown rather unmotivating at times but have kept busy enough! We were fortunate enough to spend a day (pre-lockdown) recording at Invada studios, were we did three tracks (‘Smashed Glass’ was one of them), which has allowed us to keep our momentum up a little. I also live with Loz (bass) which means we can work on ideas. Did a stream last week which was fun! Cannot wait to get back playing again, we miss it so so dearly! It’s a very uncertain time and our hearts go out to the NHS and anyone else on the frontline. See you all VERY soon. xxx”
